New Information About Campervan Hire

By Roger Bear

Having the best of both worlds can be obtainable if you consider campervan hire for your next holiday. By opting for this type of transport and accommodation, you are going to see the countryside and get to experience the open road by day and sleep in comfort by night, without having to bankrupt yourself on expensive hotels.

Should you need to take the family and pets along, then this mode of travel can be invaluable on the long road. When you park off for the day it becomes your own piece of private heaven. You can take a long hot shower, while the wife makes tea in a well equipped kitchenette and the children play outside with the dog. It is a different experience than having to be cooped up in a hotel room. With more space than ever before, the dining area and the sleeping quarters are a pleasure to frequent.

Of course, there are a number of different sizes from which to choose. There are those that can sleep up to ten people, but bear in mind it would be a long bus like vehicle. Then there are those that are suited for a couple on their own, but having all the same kind of amenities, only is a smaller and more compact version.

The type of vehicle is also varied in that some come with a fixed roof which does not allow for extra space and others come with a roof that can pop out giving you extra accommodation when needed. Those that have a fixed roof are usually larger than the traditional vans and are sometimes referred to as "high top" vans.

Ensure that you do business with a licensed operator who has all the necessary papers. They must be licensed to hire vans of this nature. They must be able to produce an updated service history of the van and it must have a current roadworthy certificate. You do not want to hire something that is going to let you down within the first day of your holiday, so be vigilant on these points.

Many people who choose campervan hire will say that nothing beats the open road, they have the freedom of sleeping when and where they want and in enough space, which is great to travel around the countryside. It is less expensive than a hotel, and gives the children something new to look forward to.
